FAQ

Do I need to be in shape to train?

No, people of any fitness level can train. You can train to your own abilities. If you're looking to get in shape, BJJ is one of the best ways to get fit!

What do I wear for my first session?

Shorts/ tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt are fine for your first few classes. Once you know you enjoy BJJ, we can point you in the right direction for a gi/ kimono, rash-guards etc and probably get you some discount!Although there is no striking, it's worth bringing along a gum-shield if you have one.

Do I need to sign into a monthly contract to train BJJ?

No, we do not tie members into long term contracts. Our members usually pay a monthly rolling fee via standing order. Pay per session is also available. Feel free to contact us to find out the latest prices.

I have an ongoing injury, can I still train?

We have to advise that you seek professional advice as injury's can vary. Its worth seeking a reputable sports physio or speaking with your GP. Generally, we do have some members who train around injury's/ physical impairments, but are sensible about how they train.

Do you do beginner classes?

Currently our classes are mixed. We have new starters joining all of the time so you will not be alone if you new to BJJ! Not only this, by having a mixed class, there are more experienced members available who can help guide you.

I train at another club. Am I OK to visit?

Of Course! Our door is always open to members from other teams who wish to train!
